Alan Macdonald joined Jackson Boyd in 2008 and was assumed as a Partner in 2012. He is presently the firm’s Managing Partner and was appointed to this role in 2017.
A member of MASS, he deals with high value and complex cases, together with fatal claims, arising from road traffic accidents and from accidents at work. He also has significant experience in dealing with credit hire cases and presents external seminars on this complex subject.
Alan has appeared on behalf of clients in Sheriff Courts throughout Scotland. He also has significant experience in the Court of Session.
He is ranked by Chambers and Partners for 2025.
When not in the office Alan enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 young daughters, socialising with friends and following football.
