It is important to gather as much information as possible, as soon as possible. In the first instance take photos that show the impact of the injury, get witness details, retain all paperwork and documentation provided and report your injuries to the treatment provider. If possible, get details of the person who carried out the procedure that harmed you, their employer or their employment status, and if you can, ascertain their insurance provider. If you have visited a doctor to get treatment, make a note of who you visited and when.
