Our commitment to the environment

We have an on-going corporate commitment to reducing our impact on the environment. To do this we:

  • Operate as an environmentally aware and responsible organisation.
  • Have an in-house environmental management system.
  • Have waste minimisation as a central goal of our Environmental Policy Statement.
  • Encourage additional sustainable waste management through specific projects.
  • Have a ‘no paper’ policy: we receive all initial referrals by email (rather than hard copy) and then use email or telephone wherever possible for all subsequent correspondence.

Jackson Boyd’s chosen charities:

Each year, colleagues are invited to nominate charities for consideration, with our new partner selected through a firm‑wide vote. This approach helps ensure our CSR activity remains grounded in causes that align with our values and allows us to focus our efforts in a meaningful way.

Following this year’s nominations and vote, we’re delighted to announce CHAS (Children’s Hospices Across Scotland) as our charity partner for the 2026/27 financial year. CHAS provides vital care and support to children with life‑shortening conditions and their families across Scotland, and we’re looking forward to supporting their work over the coming year.

By working with a single charity partner, we can focus our fundraising and volunteering activity and build a strong, collaborative relationship.
