Laurie Anderson

“I enjoy helping clients to resolve disputes and advising them through the process of a claim from inception to conclusion. What motivates me is providing effective solutions to clients who have found themselves in the often unfamiliar world of Employment Tribunals.”

A member of the Law Society of Scotland, Laurie Anderson joined Jackson Boyd in 2015, having qualified as a solicitor in 2008. He is also a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.

He is a member of the firm’s Employment Team and provides clients with pragmatic advice. He has extensive Employment Tribunal experience having appeared in Tribunals throughout the country on matters that range from wages claims through to complex discrimination claims.

He regularly represents both Claimant and Respondent clients. He was recently successful in representing a client in the defence of a complex discrimination claim which ran to an 11-day hearing in Tribunal. He also advises clients on commercial solutions to claims, where this is possible.

In his spare time, Laurie enjoys spending time with his family. He is a keen golfer and also enjoys reading, particularly crime fiction and sporting biographies
