It is that time of year when the annual increase in employment tribunal compensation limits are published and we have taken a look at the key changes so you don’t have to.
The key changes are:
- The limit on the Compensatory Award in relation to an unfair dismissal claim will increase from £93,878 to £105,707
- A ‘week’s pay’ (for basic award and redundancy payments) will increase quite substantially from £751 to £643
The increased limits will take effect from 6 April 2023 so for any dismissals occurring on or after this date, the new rates will apply.
