Whilst the language is different, names may be unusual and registration numbers strange it is vital that you record or note as much information as possible. If accident reports are completed keep a copy of them; if the police attend take the officers’ names; utilise your camera and photograph/record important details, retain ticket stubs, keep copies of medical records, take the receptionist’s full name. Remember, you may require to prove everything at a later date and compiling evidence in a foreign jurisdiction months or years down the line will be far more difficult than in Scotland.
