So a week later than the official “Red Nose Day”, Jackson Boyd’s Social Committee arranged a charity day with all proceeds going to Comic Relief.
Throughout the day some home baking was available for donations, which thanks to the delicious treats on offer raised £84.82.
A further £65.00 was raised with staff having a dress down day.
Then after 5 O’clock the real fun began with our very own” I’m a celebrity…” inspired eating challenge. Nine brave souls “volunteered” for this and their colleagues voted all week for who they wanted to see eat the nasty treats. The 4 with the lowest votes were treated to a starter of Maggot Cocktail, followed by a Salad of worms and crickets and finishing with Jelly filled with insects. This challenge raised an impressive £123.00………before cleaning costs were deducted!!
Finally, we ended with a good old fashioned quiz, which added another £51.00 and gave us a grand total of £323.82 for Comic Relief. We would like to assure our clients that Jackson Boyd aims to answer your legal questions with much more confidence than we answered those involving general knowledge!!
All in all a good day raising money for a great cause and we look forward to our next event.
