For the last 3 years I have been involved in organising a Charity Golf Tournament at Windyhill Golf Club with the help of my dad.
Along with many other sponsors, Jackson Boyd have supported the tournament and also kindly donate the Winner’s Trophy. They have been dedicated and loyal sponsors of the day for the past few years.
The tournament itself, which took place last month, is a 4 man team golf event. 4BBB is the tournament format, with 2 best scores on each hole being recorded. This year there were over 200 players involved.
On the day we managed to raise £4050 which was split between the following charities:-
WOW for Wigbank
Visibility Scotland
Cystic Fibrosis Trust
A great day was had by all. The sun was shining, the drinks were flowing and the prospect of a curry on the 19th kept me going down the 18th. The prizes on offer to competitors were also outstanding and we managed to raise a huge amount of money for great causes.
People who know me (including my Jackson Boyd Colleagues) will testify that I am not one for boasting….BUT my team did in fact manage to win the event. Winners rise to the occasion, or so they say….
For any golfers out there looking to help out some great causes and to have a fun day out, I cannot recommend this annual tournament enough!!!
