Team Spirit Meets Spooky Season: Team Jackson Boyd Don Dastardly Disguises for Charity Partner 🎃

At Jackson Boyd Lawyers, Hallowe’en is more than just costumes and candy — it’s about connecting with colleagues, creativity, and most of all, giving back. Each year, our teams bring their imaginative flare (and competitiveness) to the Glasgow head office, all for a worthwhile cause.  This year’s effort was in aid of the UK’s leading end of life charity and Jackson Boyd’s Charity Partner of the Year, Marie Curie.

Ghostly Goings on For A Good Cause

For the price of a donation to the charity, Jackson Boyd colleagues enjoyed a few tricks, but plenty more treats with a day of freaky Friday fun. Employees took part in everything from haunting the office in hair-raising attire and enjoying a thrilling game of spooky bingo, to befuddling their brains with a themed quiz and polishing off some creepy cakes at the bake sale. It’s safe to say that All Hallows Eve this year was a day jam-packed full of festivity, community and purpose.

Terrifying Team Costumes

There were a host of terrifying team costumes and spine-chilling solo looks across the Glasgow office. Everyone, from paralegals to client service advisors, solicitors to administration teams donned their ghostly get-up for the day. Our Dispute Resolution and Employment Team halted their investigations and joined forces to get to the bottom of a macabre murder mystery. Their quest took them around the Jackson Boyd office, uncovering revolting reveals throughout the day. The road traffic team made their arduous journey as the characters from Shrek all the way from the ogre’s swamp, to Duloc, right the way through the dragon’s keep and onwards to the land of Far, Far Away. The Personal Injury Pre-litigation team were out for blood this year as they showed off their most hideous horror-inspired outfits.

Stay Spooky, Stay Generous

But while it’s easy to get caught up in the fun and games, the deeper purpose of the day, fundraising for a charity that does so much important work, was never far from our colleagues’ minds. Each donation, whether big or small, helped maximise our final fundraising total for the year. Every contribution made a real difference, proving that even small acts of fun can lead to meaningful impact. Thank you to everyone who joined in, donated, or helped make the event happen. It goes to show that workplace culture isn’t just built by what we do every day, but how we come together to make a difference.

Until next year – stay spooky and stay generous!
