Job Vacancy – Personal Injury Paralegal/Case Handler

Primary Location: Glasgow City Centre / Hybrid

Hours of Work: Full time (35 hours), Permanent

Salary: Competitive DOE

Description of Role:

Jackson Boyd’s Personal Injury Team is ranked as a “leading firm” by both Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners.

We are currently looking for a Personal Injury Paralegal or Case Handler to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for their own caseload of Personal Injury cases. The cases will largely arise from Road Traffic Accidents.

We require an ambitious and motivated Paralegal or Case Handler who can work autonomously while providing a first-class service to our clients. Appropriate training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a Personal Injury caseload.
  • Taking Precognitions.
  • Conducting pre litigation investigations into liability, causation and quantum.
  • Communicating with Third Party Insurers.
  • Negotiating Settlements.
  • Complying with our clients’ Service Level Standards.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Some experience of working within a personal injury team in a legal firm or an insurance company.
  • Excellent client communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Commercial awareness and applying it to each case.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
